Part II of the Mindful Wissahickon Sessions: "Being, Not Doing"

Details
This is the 2nd gathering in a 3-part introduction to mindfulness. Designed as a series, these sessions can be attended separately but they do build off each other considerably. (The final "Session 1" in September is being offered on Sunday, 9/7.)
Designed for folks seeking a happy introduction to the art of meditation, this outing explores the meditative mode shift that's foundational to mindfulness, namely from "doing" to "being" as expounded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, the pioneer of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
After a group introduction and discussion, we will explore the practice while strolling through the Wissahickon. Our trek will be around 2 miles, at an uncommonly gentle pace.
Expect a relaxed and friendly vibe, like a good meditation sitting. The starting location is the picnic table area just off the parking lot at Blue Bell Park. Feel free to arrive 15 minutes early if you want to hang out and chat a bit before we begin!
