Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation - Workshop - In Person

Details
This event is a 90min introduction to Mindfulness and Meditation workshop, for anyone interested in finding grounding, a focused presence and responsiveness in their lives.
We can all pick up meditation with podcasts and apps, which are great and a very supportive means to bring us to learn to focus and find spaciousness in our minds. However there are wonderful benefits from deeper guidance from a teacher, being introduced to varied practices, and to do so within a community of like minded, curious individuals, ready to try something new and possibly, pick up a practice that will support them for the rest of their lives.
After all, that’s part of the beauty of the mindfulness and meditation: they are eminently portable. You get to take this away with you after class.
This first workshop will include guided practices, followed by Q&A and is meant to offer a comprehensive view at what mindfulness can offer us on a daily basis.
This is the first in a series of 4 workshops to introduce mindfulness and compassion practices. Each can be taken individually although the modules do build on each other.

About your teacher:
Anne Muhlethaler is a 200YTT yoga teacher and a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher, who has studied with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield (MMTCP) as well as taken workshop with world-renowned teachers like Sally Kempton, Pema Chödrön, and Annie Carpenter. With a background as a fashion executive (and prior to that a singer), Anne developed an interest in meditation and mindfulness after years of practicing yoga.
She became a regular Loving Kindness practitioner before starting to learn more about the rest of mindfulness practices and decided to become a teacher after seeing the profound effects these combined practices had on her own life.
She teaches on Zoom, in person and also offers guided meditations on YouTube, Instagram and digital online courses via her website: http://annevmuhlethaler.com/
Anne is passionate about teaching meditation, pranayama and she also runs a communications consultancy and coaching practice.
What my students say:
I liked the way Anne drives the classes, it's clear, lots of reference, making everyone feeling part of it and always in the softest and kindest way. She makes failing and trying all right, no pressure is put on us. Her class feels like a safe place to learn and experiment.
Anne's teachings are clear and easy to apply/follow. I feel it speaks as much to the beginners than to the most experimented meditators.
Accessibility:
Please note that the studio is located on the first floor of the building and only accessible via stairs. We apologise for any inconvenience. If you do require assistance or other access, please contact us for other dates and locations.
