What we're about

Mindfulness offers a pathway back to ourselves. To free our minds and hearts, to cultivate love and compassion within ourselves and with the wider world, and to end suffering. Practicing mindfulness we learn how to be in the present moment and when our minds get distracted, to come back without judgment. We practice being with what's here and allowing life to unfold just as it is.

ALL ARE WELCOME

From beginners to more seasoned practitioners, all experience levels are welcome. It is my intention to promote and encourage the participation of people of diverse identities, including those of all races, ethnicities, cultures, sexual orientations, gender identities, classes, religions, abilities, and ages. May all feel welcome, safe, and respected within this community.

Mindfulness trains us to live more fully in the present moment and helps us to relate both to ourselves and to others with more clarity, calm, and compassion.

This online drop-in class is a great way to end your day with intention and some time for yourself. The general format will include a guided meditation, mindful group sharing, and a closing meditation.

Please be sure your Zoom profile name matches the name you use here on Meetup. I may ask you to turn your camera on if I can't identify who you are based on the name your Zoom profile is showing. This is an effort to keep the meeting secure.

COST: Free

In joining this class, group members agree to:

  1. Practice mindful listening with respect and compassion for what is being expressed. Avoid judging, analyzing, cross talk, or giving advice.
  2. Speak about what’s alive for you in this moment, from your heart and your own direct experience. Refrain from intellectual/philosophical discussion or long storytelling.
  3. Allow for silence and reflection between sharings so you can notice what is arising.
  4. Keep confidential the personal sharings of others.
