Exciting nonfiction. You are a young poet, & an ancient Ch'an (forerunner of Zen) master moves in next door. You can't tell if he is mad, senile, lost in American culture, doesn't translate well, or if his cryptic utterances are challengingly nondual Ch'an offering a path to Enlightenment. As his requests for help escalate, he finally demands that you help him travel to inner Mongolia on the edge of the Gobi desert to bury the bones of his Master at a legendary temple. He’ll pay. Wild adventure and deep Dharma. As much confusion, danger, tragedy, and comedy infused throughout as in Twain’s Huckleberry Finn.
We follow Thich Nhat Hanh's guidelines in the 4th Mindfulness Training on Mindful Speech & Deep Listening.
