What we’re about

A Day of Mindfulness
Inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh in The Miracle of Mindfulness, this group is dedicated to spending one day each week fully immersed in the practice of mindfulness. Rather than seeing chores and daily tasks as burdens, we’ll transform them into opportunities to cultivate presence, peace, and understanding.

What We’ll Do
Every hour we do a silent sitting meditation together, this helps us get into touch with the same heart and intention we engage with with our everyday tasks—cleaning, cooking, laundry, interacting with loved ones and more—while bringing full awareness to each moment.

Why This Practice?

```
Deepen Your Presence: By paying close attention to each action—whether it’s washing dishes or folding clothes—you develop the ability to be fully present in whatever you do.
Reduce Stress & Anxiety: Mindfulness has been shown to calm the mind, lower stress levels, and reduce the mental fatigue that comes from constantly multitasking.
Rediscover Joy in Simplicity: Often, chores can feel tedious. When done mindfully, they can become moments of calm and even a source of gentle pleasure.
Build a Habit of Mindfulness: Dedicating one entire day a week to these practices can help mindfulness “bleed over” into the rest of your week, improving your overall well-being.
