Let's talk about the fear of Artificial Intelligence (AI.)

Here are some questions that we will discuss:

  • What aspects of AI do you think contribute to people's fear of it.
  • Have you personally experienced or witnessed situations where AI sparked fear or concern?
  • Do you believe the fear of AI is justified?
  • What potential risks or dangers do you see with the widespread adoption of AI?
  • How can society mitigate the fear of AI?
  • Do you think education and awareness about AI could help alleviate fear, and if so, how?

🌮 More food for thought

  • "It is difficult to think of a major industry that AI will not transform. This includes healthcare, education, transportation, retail, communications, and agriculture. There are surprisingly clear paths for AI to make a big difference in all of these industries."
    Andrew Ng.
  • "Success in creating AI would be the biggest event in human history. Unfortunately, it might also be the last, unless we learn how to avoid the risks."
    Stephen Hawking.
  • "AI is a tool. The choice about how it gets deployed is ours."
    Oren Etzioni.
  • "The danger is that if we invest too much in developing Al and too little in developing human consciousness, the very sophisticated artificial intelligence of computers might only serve to empower the natural stupidity of humans"
    Yuval Noah Harari.

🚫 No-show policy
As the group size is small, no-shows have a strong negative impact on the group. As such, the policy is that as a general rule, no-shows and same-day cancellations will not be able to sign up for future events. To avoid this:

  • Only reserve a spot if you really intend to come.
  • If your plans have changed, cancel at least 24 hours before the event, to give people on the waiting list a chance to change their own plans and make it to the event.
  • If you have a real last-minute emergency and need to cancel in the last 24 hours, please contact me directly to avoid "no-show" status.
