NEW JERSEY'S ULTIMATE SINGLE'S MEET-UP GROUP, WHERE THE FUN NEVER STOPS!

There is nothing more serene than being right there on the water, enjoying nature up close. It's a great way to renew your mind, body and soul.

Join MINGLE AROUND SINGLE'S for a day on the water and a beautiful kayaking adventure, as we explore nature, one stroke at a time! This kayaking experience is the ultimate freedom on the water with nothing but the sounds of nature and the kayak hitting the water. There is no better feeling!

We will meet in the water just in front of the kayak rental docks at Noon.
Please arrive by 11:30 a.m. to allow time to find parking, put on your life jacket, grab a paddle and get your kayak in the water. We will meet in the water directly in front of the kayak rental dock and depart at Noon sharp.

*As renters are "on the clock", we will not wait for latecomers.

We will begin paddling at noon sharp and continue to a secluded private island, which our MeetUp group has named Picnic Island. This island is a little piece of heaven on earth.

We will also make a STOP about half way for a group photo opp.

Don't forget to look for the cormorants as they dive into the water to catch fish! They are fascinating birds known for their swimming and diving abilities. You may also see Herons, Eagles, Turtles and swans.

We are not "in a hurry". Please take your time, relax, take in the beauty of nature. We will be paddling and stopping and going at a leisurely pace. We will not leave anyone behind. Please wait and stay with the group.

** Be sure to pack a picnic lunch/snacks/trail mix/drinks. **

Once we get to Picnic Island, we will get out of our kayaks and enjoy a picnic together as a group, where we an socialize and mingle, sharing stories and getting to know each other a bit. Feel free to share any snacks and treats with others.

Remember to wear your bathing suit under your clothes along with swimming shoes, as if it is hot enough, we can sneak in a quick swim. (Sshhh!) We do this at our own risk.

This is where our journey ends. Two hour renters will head back to the rental dock. Four Hour renters can feel free to explore on your own.

A little bit of information about the Reservoir:
MONKSVILLE RESERVOIR is a beautiful and serene reservoir located in the New Jersey Highlands of Long Pond Ironworks State Park. The reservoir has a surface area of 505 acres, and spans about three miles from end to end. The reservoir is surrounded by forest, including hiking trails, such as the Monks Trail Circular. While being easily accessible from NYC and other densely populated areas of NJ, MONKSVILLE RESERVOIR is secluded, rustic and peaceful.

Our tour will be two hours. If you are renting, you will need at least two hours, but it is strongly suggested to rent your kayak for a full four hours, as two hours goes by very quickly. After the two hour tour, you may want to venture off and explore on your own for a bit.

Flatwater Paddle Company offers Kayaks for Rent on a first come, first serve basis and will deliver your kayak to the reservoir and it will be conveniently waiting for you upon your arrival.
They sell out, so it is strongly suggested to rent ahead or you may not get one as the season picks up.

Pricing is as follows for Single, Tandem and Paddleboards:
1 Hour Rentals:
Single Kayak or Paddleboard: $25
Tandem Kayak: $40

2 Hour Rentals:
Single Kayak or Paddleboard: $40
Tandem Kayak: $55

4 Hour Rentals:
Single Kayak or Paddleboard: $55 ** (Recommend this one.)
Tandem Kayak: $70

If you need to cancel your reservation, you can do so using the link in your booking email up to 24 hours in advance. If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours notice, or if you’d like to reschedule, please EMAIL Flatwater Paddles (reply to your booking email) as far in advance as possible. Check your rental agreement for more details on their cancellation policy.
