Since childhood, both Michael Badolato & R. Michael Gallaway have had a love for cars and really enjoy attending local car shows. After traveling around the area for years going to different shows, Badolato thought, “Why not have a car show at the funeral home?” In 2021, he organized the first car show to take place in the funeral home’s parking lot. He thought since we are having a car show to bring the community together, let's donate all the proceeds to a local charity in town. That local charity is Heartworks of Bernardsville, NJ. The first show was on the smaller side, but ended up with a decent turnout, between 70 and 80 cars. Many said that they had a great time. Once he saw the success of his first show, the following year he expanded it to the empty parking lots neighboring the funeral home and received a permit to close the main road to park even more classic cars. Since the show has grown in previous years, they now reach out to local businesses in Bernards Twp. and Bernardsville to sponsor the event. This allows them to make the show even better each year, while giving local businesses some great advertising exposure.

The annual car show also features a DJ, a food truck, and an ice cream truck. There is a registration fee to have a car enter the show, and judges will hand out trophies for top 25 best cars, people’s choice, and a best in show. All proceeds, of the car show, will benefit Heartworks of Bernardsville. Heartworks is a nonprofit, established after 9/11.

Heartworks is “a local movement of women committed to replicating and sustaining the kindness and connection witnessed in the wake of September 11, 2001. Inspired by the healing that takes place through receiving and giving, the foundation offers hope to people experiencing a chronic illness with an acute need, an unexpected injury, a natural disaster, or unbearable grief, while taking part in our own self-growth.”

The judging will be held by "Here Comes the Judge". These guys are top notch!
They judge on 100% cleanliness. Do not be surprised if they ask you to take out floor mats, things in the trunk, etc. I've seen these guys look on the inside of rims.
The classes are Pre-1949, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, 90-99, 00-12, 13-current, Mustangs 64-93 & 94 - current, Corvette 53-82, 84 - current, Foreign, Trucks, Modified, Street Rod, Mayor's choice, & Best in Show . Classes have 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
They usually get around 150-170 cars.
