Sweet, sunny, and full of country charm… join us for a fun spring day of strawberry picking at beautiful Von Thun Farms in Washington, NJ!

We’ll spend the afternoon wandering through the strawberry fields, filling our baskets with fresh Jersey strawberries, laughing, taking photos, and enjoying one of the prettiest times of year on the farm. There’s just something special about being outside on a spring day surrounded by rows of ripe strawberries and great company.

Memorial Day Weekend is one of the best times to visit because the strawberry fields are expected to be open and ready for picking. The farm opens at 10:00 AM and strawberry picking will be available throughout the day.

After we pick, we can relax and explore the farm market, where they sell fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade jams, preserves, baked goods, and their famous apple cider donuts. The farm also has beautiful scenery, plenty of space to mingle, and lots of great photo opportunities.

Everyone entering the strawberry field needs to purchase a field admission and a picking container. Containers may be shared by up to four people, so if you’d like, you can buddy up and share a basket.

Suggested meetup spot: right outside the farm market entrance at 11:30 AM so we can gather together before heading into the fields.

Please wear comfortable shoes since we’ll be walking through the fields, and bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and maybe a cooler bag if you plan on taking lots of strawberries home!

If you’d like to make a full day of it, there are a few other nearby farms and markets in the area worth visiting afterward, including Donaldson Farms and Ort Farms. Both are a short drive away and make for a fun country afternoon.
