Rescheduled: Why Testers Should Embrace API Tests with Bertold Kolics

Details

Bertold Kolics has held a variety of roles in software engineering for many years including pre-sales, professional services, development, and quality assurance as well as leadership positions. Bertold regularly shares his thoughts and stories about software testing, leadership skills, management techniques, and self-improvement on Twitter (@bkolics).

Automated end-to-end testing tools make it easy to create a large number of tests in a short period of time. But software testers still face a growing list of responsibilities, so managing and maintaining a large number of tests can easily become unsustainable. Integrating faster and more reliable API tests into their test strategy can save testers a significant amount of time - if testers can embrace this typically complex and code-heavy testing method. Bertold will share how software testers can start API testing and use it to make their end-to-end tests faster and more reliable while also improving collaboration with developers and other stakeholders. API tests are much faster, more reliable, and can help testers in many ways including making end-to-end test suites more reliable, as well as improving communication and collaboration with developers and other stakeholders.
