Where to start with Security if you're not a Security Tester

Details
This is our last session for 2020, so will double as our Christmas Social. Newcomers welcome & we'd love to reconnect with old friends!
Security risks to software systems are myriad and growing. It could be argued that an awareness of security risks should be part of all testers' job descriptions.
Prachi Jain will be talking about how application testers can get started with security testing. She'll bring some clarity on the differences between being a "pentester" and an "application tester with focus on security".
Please note, this is going to be an interactive session, so come prepared with your questions and curiosity about security.
About Prachi Jain:
Prachi is currently working with Eroad and has experience of security testing of web applications. She is also on her path to become a pentester so she is keen to share the journey with us.
---------
Pizza and drinks included.
A note about our $5 cover charge:
Our minimal cover charge helps us plan for meetups with confidence about attendance and the money is directed straight back into the costs of our activities, so we can do more awesome stuff in the Auckland testing community. (Note: It's charged as £GBP2.50 because Meetup doesn't support $NZD)
If the cover charge is a barrier to attending for you, please send a direct message to one of the organisers - we don't want it to stop anyone joining in.
