Topic:
In this Meetup, Nishi Grover will talk about strategizing Agile and automating in Agile.
The agile world is abuzz nowadays with talk about agile testing and the key role of testers in an agile project. Some even say testers are the key piece of an agile team, arguing that they define the success or failure of the team’s attempts to be agile. But what makes agile testing different from traditional testing? It’s the distinctions between the agile and traditional software development approaches, but also the adaptability of testers in these very different environments. Agile demands more from its testers, and, in turn, it values them more, too.
Let us explore ways that you can strategize your agile testing to fit into the fast-paced iterations and continually changing environments. We will discuss and practice specific techniques like exploratory testing, mind-mapping and lean documentation that can make your agile testing more light weight and flexible.
Then comes test automation which is another key piece of the agile puzzle.
Agile means pace and agile means change. With frequent time boxed releases and flexible requirements, test automation faces numerous challenges. Haven’t we all asked what to automate and how to go about the daily tasks with the automation cloud looming over our heads. Here we’ll discuss answers to some of these questions and try to outline a number of approaches that agile teams can take in their selection of what to automate, how to go about their automation and whom to involve, and when to schedule these tasks so that the releases are debt free and of best quality.
We will discuss approaches to strategize your test automation and set it up for success!: What to Automate | When to Automate | How to Automate
