About the talk: Learning to love technical interview exercises

Coding exercises, testing challenges, and take-home tests often form part of a job interview for Testers, especially those who are expected to write code. Getting the most out of technical challenges can be an essential part of the interview process, and one you can learn to love.

Join me on my adventure as I explore these exercises and challenges and discover how we can gain the confidence we need to smash them. Together we will look at how we can break down requirements, stand up development environments, and practice challenges to improve our chances of getting that next role.

Not going anywhere? I can dig that, I’m not job hunting either, but maybe you will have the opportunity to get involved in hiring testers, and setting testing challenges? Or you can join me in my mission to support the wider testing community to get that job! Let’s go!

Key Takeaways: Breaking down challenges to better understand technical expectations Consider what unwritten expectations like code that is easy for others to read Practice so you can save time and gain confidence Remember to use comments and documentation
