How to Start an Automation Testing Journey For Beginners - Loukas Konstantinou
The world of test automation can seem daunting for people new to Quality Engineering. Others might have work experience predominantly in the manual testing space, or perhaps their employer isn't convinced that automation is worth the time and effort spent. But the truth is: automation testing doesn't need to be daunting.
This talk will try to shed some light on the very first steps of a test automation journey. I intend to discuss experiences I had at various stages of the route and hopefully encourage people to get stuck in automating tests. By making use of these pointers, they can expand their contribution to quality and enrich their skillset, while also bringing more value to their teams as well.
Speaker: Loukas is currently working as a Lead Quality Engineer at FanDuel, having previously worked at other well-known Edinburgh organisations such as Moody's Analytics and Zonal. Loukas is passionate about on how people can approach automation, why they are usually reluctant and ideas on overcoming initial blockers etc, instead of just suggesting learning resources.
