Quality Engineering

Details

For this months Ministry of Testing Leeds we will be supported by the great folks at Accenture. Our theme is Quality Engineering as the new Quality Engineering Charter has been launched recently.

Defining quality as a whole-team responsibility - Emily O'Connor
If it's a QAs goal to encourage collaboration and prevent defects in the software we build, that requires highlighting the assumptions that development teams are making - in product functionality, acceptance criteria and system usage. Quality engineering has specific goals geared towards detecting issues early, enhancing the development process, embedding quality into the development process and ensuring software meets its customers' expectations. And how do I do that? I make laughably poor assumptions, outline straw man arguments to allow the developers to build in quality controls they own and group together user frustrations to ensure it is as actionable as possible.

The new Quality Engineering Charter - Steve Mellor
Steve will give an overview of the new Quality Engineering Charter and how testers and development teams can use this to bake quality into their engineering processes.

As usual we will have our free raffle for MoT swag, books etc. and there might be some extras from our hosts. Keep an eye on socials for details and save the date.

Food and drinks will be provided and MoT Code of Conduct applies to all MoT Leeds Meetups
