Ministry of Testing Peterborough - Vernon Richards, Adam Gask and Shey Crompton
Details
Remember remember the fift(eenth) of November - it's meetup time again!
This time out there are some important changes to be aware of so please make sure you have a read. First up, we are moving from Mondays to Thursday, and we will be starting a little earlier at 6.30 following feedback that our previous meetups have been at a bit of a difficult time.
Next big change is that we will not be at the Brewery Tap this time out - The BGL Group have very kindly stepped in and offered us the use of their facilities for free, and will also be providing us with some pizza and drinks to enjoy during the evening.
Now that all that's out of the way - we have an absolutely EPIC line up of speakers in November. Check this out...
VERNON RICHARDS - ONE DAY, AT MAP CAMP...
Vernon will be joining us and sharing a talk based on his experiences and learnings from his trip to Map Camp, covering off Wardley Maps and maybe a bit of Cynefin thrown in too
ADAM GASK - GETTING STARTED WITH iOS ACCESSIBILITY TO SUPERCHARGE YOUR TESTING
Making your iOS apps accessible can seem more complicated than it needs to be. But, by following a few practical tips and tricks in this talk you can provide a great user experience for everyone and expand your test coverage by harnessing the power of native UI Tests.
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT! SHEY CROMPTON – TO TALK TRANSFORMATION, YOU NEED TO TALK TESTING
Transformation. Everyone's at it! Whether it's digital, or agile transformation it seems just about every enterprise is giving it a go. Many are falling into the same traps seeing their very expensive project stall, or fail. Why? One reason may be that they fail to draw on their most valuable asset, their test team. Testers are often the SMEs on the system and so can point out any pitfalls in a transformation strategy. They communicate across departments so will help inform and evangelise the strategy. Ignore them at your peril!
The Ministry of Testing exists to advance the software testing industry in a fun, safe, professional and forward thinking way.
Our meetups exist as a way to bring people together to talk and learn about good and authentic testing. We encourage everyone who is interested in making better software products to come along and participate.
