Starting this month, the Minneapolis AI Engineer Meetup has a new home: Industrious, 323 N Washington Ave, Suite 200 — the 2nd floor of the T3 building in the North Loop. The A/V in the old Riverplace space had been fighting us for months, so we decided it was time to make the change.

Two Talks on Production Agentic Systems
Two talks this month, both on what it takes to build and operate agentic systems for real.

Matt Rein — One Agent Is Easy. Fifty Agents at 2 AM Is Not.
A single model behind an API is a solved problem — monitor the endpoint, track your tokens, watch your latency. Production at enterprise scale is a multi-model serving platform across several clouds, with safety screening, prompt caching, embedding pipelines, model pools, and async billing all serving dozens of consumers at once, and the cause of a slow response might be a safety bottleneck three hops upstream or a cron job that evicted rate-limit keys from a shared Redis.

Matt traces real failures from symptom to root cause on a live multi-cloud platform: instrumenting with OpenTelemetry so traces capture routing decisions, safety-screening latency, model-pool contention, and cache behavior; topology-aware dependency mapping across services that share compute, databases, and queues; and using causal analysis to connect a deployment to a failure four hops and fifteen minutes downstream. You'll leave knowing why the hardest bugs are the ones where every dashboard is green. Previously presented at Open Source North.

Anton Priborkin — How We Built Pribo: Architecture of a Simplified Agentic Ecosystem
Anton built Pribo after working with enterprise AI tools he found overcomplicated and scrappily assembled — the kind of apps that get cheered in the office and slammed in the subreddits. Pribo reduces that to what he argues is the simplest possible interface: a single input bar with access to an entire agentic ecosystem.

Most of the session is on how it was actually built — the architecture and the engineering decisions behind putting an agentic ecosystem behind one input — with a short demo to make the ideas concrete.
​
Come for two angles on the same problem — keeping a sprawling agentic platform observable, and collapsing one down to a single input — and stick around to talk it through with the room.
