Azure User Group: KQL for Fun, Profit, and Security

Details
Please join us for the monthly Minnesota Azure User Group meetings!
This month's topic is: KQL for Fun, Profit, and Security
KQL is the query language behind Azure data services. It is easy to learn, simple to master, and has a growing community behind it. Many of those faced with having to work with KQL have been reluctant because it “seems” like yet another new query language. But, there’s a huge value in gaining experience with this query language. Not only is it crucial for Threat Hunting and Incident Investigations, but it’s an inflection point technology that will drive cloud careers. During this session, learn about why it exists, where its applicable, and gain tips on how to get started and then take learning to the next level.
Rod Trent is a Senior Cloud Security Advocate for Microsoft and an Azure Sentinel global SME. He is a husband, dad, and first-time grandfather. He spends his spare time (if such a thing does truly exist) simultaneously watching Six Million Dollar Man TV show episodes and writing KQL queries.
