Please join us for the September Minnesota Azure User Group meeting! This month's meeting will cover two topics to kick off our virtual meetings! We will have two speakers. The first topic will be "working with Serverless and Big Data Pipelines in Azure". The second topic will be on "Azure tips and tricks".

The first topic will be presented by the amazing LaBrina Loving. LaBrina is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 18 years of experience in the Microsoft stack. In her role, she is focused on helping Startups and ISVs migrate to Azure and modernize their SaaS solutions for cloud. She works with them to leverage the cloud for cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Chatbots, IoT/Edge, Serverless, and DevOps. LaBrina is a speaker doing conferences and user groups all over the world and has recently started a Podcast "Disrupting the Cloud" that highlights the journey of cloud newbies and professionals in cloud computing, especially women and BiPOC. Title: Serverless Big Data Pipelines with Azure

Description: The need for processing large volumes of data real-time has organizations moving from traditional data warehouse solutions to more agile, discrete data pipelines. In this session, I will discuss the advantages of using serverless for big data pipelines and the various services available in Azure. I will show an end-to-end demo of processing high volumes of data and events at scale using serverless technologies like Azure Functions, Event Hubs, Data Factory, and Azure Data Explorer.

The second topic will be presented by Michael Crump. Michael Crump works at Microsoft and is a coder, blogger, and speaker of various software development topics. Each month we bring in a speaker to present on various topics around Azure. The meetings are typically at the Microsoft office in Edina MN. The duration of the meeting is: 4:00PM-5:30PM with the speaker typically starting at 4:10 to 4:15PM. We provide free food and drink at every meeting.
