“What is Cuddle Party MN???"

Cuddle Party is … a Movement! ……about compassion, affection, and touch.

We humans need touch and affection starting at birth and we never outgrow the need! It’s no longer a question. Welcome consensual touch is good for you! It's good for your body, heart, and spirit! It is relaxing, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, and helps balance your nervous system as well as your emotional health. Touch can enhance your self-worth, your ability to connect with and trust people, and respect and care for yourself.

We humans need touch that is not about sex. Sharing touch that is nurturing when done in a safe and comfortable space, not filled with anxiety, helps foster a sense of belonging and connection. Though touch is natural, the skills that make it welcome and enjoyable have to be learned. Skills such as reaching mutual consent, verbal and non-verbal communication, boundaries, asking for what you want, and saying ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ with clarity and kindness.

Cuddle Parties are led by trained and certified Cuddle Party Facilitators. The Facilitator (Candessa) guides you into those skills gently and easily, in a fun, safe and lighthearted way. We welcome you and create an atmosphere of respect, while remaining available for questions and support throughout the CP.

Plus the skills you learn at Cuddle Party translate into everyday life, right from the start. When boundaries and consent are clear, every relationship is easier.

Cuddle Party is … a social event! It is not a dating service or a hook up event.
Time frame and agenda: Each Cuddle Party lasts about 3.5 hours. Doors will open 30 minutes before start time. Please come dressed casually and comfortably.

We open with a Welcome Circle – about 60 minutes of introductions, rules and a few games to help everyone get comfortable. We teach communication and boundary skills in ways that are lighthearted and fun and which have everyone interacting with other attendees before it is over.
Then we open up for ‘free-style’ cuddling. You have plenty of time to relax, chat, share a back rub or other welcome touch, cuddle, have a snack or just hang out. The choice to cuddle or not is up to each individual – you never have to cuddle anyone at a Cuddle Party if you don’t want to.

You can come to a Cuddle Party to meet new people, enjoy amazing conversations, to touch, to be touched, have fun, to practice asking for what you want, to practice saying “no” to what you don’t want — all in a setting structured to be a safe place for exploration and enjoyment. You can even come to a Cuddle Party just to cuddle!

COVID Precautions will be strictly enforced. This includes showing proof of vaccination (including boosters) via text at least 12 hours before start of every Cuddle Party. After you register, the event coordinator will contact you for this information. If your vaccination was more than 6 months ago, we encourage you to take a COVID test at least 24 hours in advance of arriving.

When you arrive, you will be asked to sign a consent form for the CP as well as stating you have not experienced any COVID symptoms or suspected/known exposure in the past 24 hours. While we understand these are not fool-proof guidelines, and that some people with COVID exhibit no symptoms, many participants feel more comfortable knowing other participants have agreed to these rules for admission. Masks are at your discretion during times of close contact.

Early registration: If you register on Eventbrite by the end of October the cost is ONLY $20/person

$30/person, $50/couple (partners or friends, purchased together) + Eventbrite fee (varies). Registration closes at 5:00 pm 10/15.
