The First Draft is a cozy, low-pressure literary open mic for writers, poets, memoirists, and thoughtful reflectors who want to share their words out loud—whether it’s a rough first draft or a polished piece. We gather at The Troubadour Wine Bar in Uptown Minneapolis for an intimate evening of stories, poems, essays, and appreciation for the effort involved in crafting a story. Come and listen or read straight from the page.
This is a space for vulnerability, art, connection, intimacy, experimentation, and finding your people.
