About us
This is a group for queer (LGBTQIA+) folks who enjoy walking and hiking.
The goal is to get outside, move our bodies, meet new people, make meaningful connections and friends. Seeking to be inclusive of all people and body types.
Hoping to meet people who enjoy walking, hiking, being outside and soaking up nature.
Events will range from city walks to nature hikes.
Welcoming all people, identities and nuerotypes.

Fort Snelling Hike - Pike Island Loop (optional lunch after)
Minnehaha Trailhead, Fort Snelling Unorganized Territ, MN, USJoin our Outdoor Queers walking & hiking Meetup Group for a 3.9 mile hike around Pike Island at Fort Snelling! All Trails lists it as an easy hike with a duration of 71 minutes. Bonus that this is a Minnesota Hiking Club route! (https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/clubs/hiking.html) Please message in the event chat if you are running late. We will keep a pace that works for all hikers. We can also grab lunch after if people are interested!
Parking passes: A state park sticker or daily pass is required for all vehicles. Passes are available online or at the park office. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_parks/permit.html
Where to meet: From highway 5, take the Post Road exit and follow signs for Fort Snelling State Park. Follow Snelling Lake Road past the Park Office (Stop here for a State Park Parking Pass if you don't already have one). Continue following Snelling lake Road. You will pass the swimming beach, picnic island, fishing pier, and then drive under a big bridge (Highway 62, Mendota Bridge). We will meet in the last parking lot at the end of the road.
