PRAYER VIGIL AND CLERGY ACTION AGAINST ICE ESCALATION IN TWIN CITIES

There are multiple actions happening today, here is the info we currently know:

We just got word that Kristi Noem, Commissioner of the Department of Homeland Security, and the leader of ICE (Immigration, Customs and Enforcement) is coming to Minneapolis today to lead a press conference “on the Trump Administration’s immigration enforcement operations in the Twin Cities”. We believe she will be at the Whipple Federal Building.

We do not know what she is planning to announce, but we expect that she is sharing plans for an escalation in ICE or other federal law enforcement or military presence in the twin cities.

We will gather as close as we can outside of the Whipple Federal Building from 3:45-5:45pm. The Fort Snelling Light Rail Stop is approximately .3 miles from the Whipple Federal Building and we encourage you to park near there. We expect there may be some restriction in how close we can get. Please plan to come early and park near the Fort Snelling Light Rail Stop and walk towards the Whipple Building.
