Community Vigil anti-ICE action
Details
Email from COPAL:
We are reaching out with urgency after a deeply troubling and violent federal operation took place this morning at the Bro-Tex facility in St. Paul. Agents from ICE, FBI, HSI, and the DEA stormed a workplace, detained workers, and used chemical irritants against community members who were peacefully observing. Families were separated, people were hurt, and local leaders were never notified. Our community is shaken and deserves answers.
In response, COPAL and the Immigrant Defense Network (IDN), along with statewide and national partners, are calling for a community vigil tomorrow:
📅 Wednesday, November 19
⏰ 9:00 am
📍 830 N. Hampden Ave., St. Paul
Tomorrow’s vigil is an opportunity for community members, elected officials, advocates, and legal partners to come together, honor those taken, and collectively demand clarity and accountability for today’s actions. We will uplift the stories of families already navigating fear and uncertainty under intensified enforcement directives.
Your presence matters. Moments like this call us to show up for one another with compassion, solidarity, and courage. Minnesota will not stand by in silence when violence is inflicted on our neighbors.
Please join us tomorrow if you are able, and help spread the word widely.
