Minneapolis Rust: Open Source Contrib Hackathon & Happy Hour

Details
Want to contribute to open source for the first time? Looking to contribute back to Rust but don't know where to start?
Join us for an open source contribution hackathon! If you're new to contributing, we'll have seasoned folks who can help you through the process. If you're just looking for a project, we'll have some suggestions and strategies for finding rewarding projects.
There is no expectation for you to finish an issue. If you get started and need to drop it, that is totally fine. We don't want an implication of needing to finish to stop you from starting. This is about learning and gaining experience!
Don't want to hack? No worries! Just come hang out!
How this will work
- We'll start with a quick introduction to open source contribution, tips on how to get started, and places to look for projects.
- Then, we'll do some basic triaging of projects to make sure we're not tackling the same issues (or if we are, we're working together).
- For the rest of the meetup, we'll get to work!
- If you don't finish what you're working on during the meeting, feel free to continue on your own and post on our discord channel your successes and questions.
If you are coming to hack with us, charge your laptop and update your rust version before you come! Wifi and power availability may not be what you hope.
Experience level: All levels (interested to expert)
