A collection of essays that challenges the idea that Tolkien's works neglect women, offering perspectives not only on Tolkien’s most discussed female characters—Éowyn, Galadriel, and Lúthien—but also less studied figures as Nienna, Yavanna, Shelob, and Arwen. The collection features diverse critical approaches ranging from literary source study to fan-fiction reader-response.
Co-editors Janet Brennan Croft and Leslie A. Donovan
will join us for the discussion.
