Contracts, bids, legal agreements - Some are complex, some are even fun! They all seek to clearly lay out the terms of engagement:
- How much money will change hands?
- When will money change hands?
- How much and what type of work will be completed?
Sometimes contracts are hyper-specific, sometimes they intentionally lack detail. Contracts can cripple you or empower you to do your best work!
During this meetup, we'll share our experiences with and ideas regarding contracts and hopefully walk away feeling a little bit better about the world.
Toby and Ryan will start with a quick 5 minute presentation on "Contracts" to get the conversation going. After this, we'll have a discussion contracts.
Meetup Overview
Do you make your living using WordPress to create websites for other people’s businesses? This Meetup is for you! We are not about themes or plugins, rather we'll talk about aspects of having a freelance business based in WP. We’ll discuss the successes and challenges of running a small business, share stories, ask questions, share tools & resources, brainstorm ideas and generally create community for those of us who typically work in isolation.
The meeting format is free-flowing. Come with your questions or latest problem you are hoping to solve. We'll help you out.
PS – Please note that this Meetup is specifically for those with a freelance business that relies on WordPress and not intended for those who have their business website made in WordPress. There are many other Meetups for WordPress users.
