Fringe Festival offerings at STRIKE Theater-Northeast Minneapolis

Details

In it's 32nd year, the Minneapolis Fringe Festival offers 99 distinct shows and over 550 performances in 10 days at more than a dozen theaters, July 31 - August 10. The festival offerings are chosen by LOTTERY. A show could be sold out or have 6 people in the audience. It may be great; it may not be great. It's an adventure!

The $10 Fringe button (now only available at any show's box office) will get you $5 off each show's ticket. You do NOT need it for entrance to shows this year, only for the $5 discount.

The Fringe Festival shows are each UNDER an hour. There is a half-hour between shows. The most choices are in the Cedar/Riverside theaters. (I used to go by myself to the that area because it was easy to make a quick choice if one show was sold out.)

Check out the festival and shows here.

I am going to 2 Fringe shows at STRIKE Theater on Friday 8/8/25 at 18th NE Ave & Central Ave. I bought tickets in advance, but you can take a chance at the door as well if you don't want to pre-buy. Fringe shows reserve 25% of seats for walk-ins.

Join me if you wish at EITHER or BOTH of these on Friday. Mention in the comments which show/s you are attending and I will look for you in the lobby. I look like my photo so you can look for me as well.

Last year there were NO concessions at Strike Theater. Bring a bottle of water. Or two.

I know nothing about this show other than the description. It's a comedy. That's what The Fringe Festival is all about! Take a chance.

Our group saw Jason Shommer's Fringe show last year and we enjoyed it. Jason was also the host at The Moth storytelling that we saw in July. He is a funny fellow.

Parking is free either on the street or in the parking lot behind the Thorpe Building.

Sadly, both cocktail rooms in the building (Tattersall and Elusive by Dashfire have closed.)
