Synopsis.
In this Shakespearean comedy, best friends Rosalind and Celia are banished from the harsh world of the royal court. Disguised as men, they flee to the Forest of Arden, where they are free from the court’s and society’s conventions. There they “unfold into a direct and honest world, where lords, fools, and shepherds bumble, banter, and wonder together– where there is no singular agreed-upon path but rather a process of trying on, testing, and playing – as each of us seek balance. This story traffics in a bit of magic – but finds the truest magic in our human capacity to forgive our harms, to care for one another, and to love deeply.” (from the Director’s Notes)
