Food and school supply drive at the picnic!

Details

Please consider bringing a food item or school supply to the August picnic (https://www.meetup.com/minnesota-atheists/events/198806842/) to donate to one of the following secular charities. Eric and I will collect the donations and bring them to The Family Place and Keystone Community Services.

The Family Place is Ramsey County’s only day shelter for homeless families with children and is the starting point for any family seeking shelter in the county. The guest families arrive each morning to spend their day in a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. Following a healthy breakfast, pre-school kids spend time in the family room and take part in youth enrichment programs. Their older siblings board buses for school. Parents may meet with the Stability Coach, on-site Ramsey County Human Services staff or participate in parenting classes or other learning opportunities. Two additional meals and a healthy snack are provided. Throughout each day, Family Place helps move the guest families closer to their goals of stable, permanent housing.
