State Forest Campground Camping
Details
I brought up the idea of going to a state forest campground. Kruger Campground in the Richard J Dorer State Forest was mentioned as a possibility. This is in the southeast part of the state. Follow the links to find out more about the campground and forest. The Zumbro River runs near the campground. There are canoe and kayak rentals in the area. This campground does have hiking trails. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_forests/forest.html?id=sft00033#cmp00041

Here is the link to the state forest campground list. https://www.dnr.state.mn.us/state_forests/list.html Check out other campgrounds to see if there is another campground that we should look at.
We would be in individual drive-in sites. Obviously we could share sites. The state forest campgrounds are first come first serve except for group sites. For this reason state forest campgrounds do not get very many campers. The campground has 18 drive-in sites.
