Brian is passionate about sharing knowledge with others. Brian has presented at national and regional conferences and events since 2003, including the PASS Community Summit and a variety of SQL Saturday events. Brian is an organizer and content presenter for the Minnesota Fabric/Power BI User Community. He has provided training and mentoring on Microsoft analytics tools for organizations throughout the United States.
 
Brian has been publishing on technical topics for over 20 years. His writing includes magazine articles and columns (back when those were a thing) and 11 editions across 4 titles on Microsoft’s analytics tools for McGraw-Hill Education. His current project is the creation of a college-level curriculum on data analytics using Microsoft Power BI.
 
Brian Larson is Chief Creative Officer and Partner at Superior Consulting Services in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he has worked since 1997. During that time, Brian has had the opportunity to consult with a wide range of clients from non-profit organizations to electronic component and medical device manufacturers; from state, county, and local government agencies to insurance and financial companies; from personal service franchisers to major outdoor equipment producers. As a consultant to Microsoft, Brian created the first version of the PDF renderer for Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and later taught a Microsoft department how to use their own reporting tool.
