Chad will be utilizing Microsoft Fabric and PowerBI to pull information from the [Congress.gov API](https://api.congress.gov/) and spatial data from [ArcGIS Hub](https://hub.arcgis.com/datasets/usdot::congressional-districts/explore?location=45.758744%2C-86.301913%2C6) that shows how many bills each congress person has introduced. This includes pulling the data from the congress.gov api nightly and showing a color code based upon the number of bills proposed. We will cover the different options for displaying maps utilizing PowerBI including Map, Filled Map, Azure Maps, and ArcGIS for PowerBI. We will also discuss various ways to pull information from [ArcGIS Online](https://www.arcgis.com/).

Chad Nelson is a Data & Analytics professional with 20 years of experience.  His background includes a wide spectrum of industries including government, healthcare, energy/utilities, and GIS (Geographic Information Services).  His area of expertise includes utilizing spatial data that can be overlayed on maps.  This allows users to understand where information is in the world. Prior to starting at Superior Consulting Services in January of this year, Chad has spent the last 11 years prior at Enbridge Energy embedded within the land services department that utilized GIS information heavily.
