Brainstorming Meeting

Minnesota Makers is back! Come on in, introduce yourself, share what kinds of projects you're interested in or working on, and bounce off ideas about what you want to see us do moving forward.

My name is Brad. I'm relatively inexperienced, but lately I've dabbled in web design, songwriting, and cooking. I've been really impressed by what the community has done at the Latimer Central Library and at the State Fairgrounds during the annual Maker Faire. Seeing that there hasn't been an event held in almost a year, I made myself organizer to try to revive the group. Some ideas I've had for events are

Novice Day: We share helpful resources and tips with each other about our hobbies. Meetings can split into breakout rooms based on our particular niches.

Show-Off Day: We share with each other things we've been working on. We could agree on a theme for each event and create projects based on that theme.

Tech Tuesday/Woodworking Wednesday/etc.: Make sessions and discussions more specific to a certain topic or craft. Sub-groups might want to branch out like this if they feel like their interests aren't well-represented in general meetings.
