Epicurus: Letter to Menoeceus

Epicurus was one of the most influential philosophers of the ancient world, and often quoted in Seneca's letters. This Meetup will focus on one of the few extant writings by Epicurus, a letter to a student named Menoeceus. It contains classic themes of Epicureanism, especially regarding the wise pursuit of pleasure.
Outside reading is not required, but for those interested, a link to the letter is attached below. All are welcome, and newcomers are encouraged to check us out. Our format involves reading and conversing about the text, but you are always welcome to just listen.
