Stoicon 2025 Engaged Citizenship

The Minnesota Stoics will not meet this week, in honor of Stoicon 2025, the annual online conference for Modern Stoicism. We encourage members of our group to consider attending. Here is their description:

Civic virtue, civil discourse, and other forms of engaged citizenship are more important now than ever, and we believe Stoic principles can contribute to flourishing societies and robust democratic processes. At Stoicon 2025 we will discuss important and timely issues such as:

• What did the ancient Stoics understand by engaged citizenship?
• How can we apply Stoicism to be good citizens in the 21st century?
• How can Stoicism help us engage wisely with our fellow citizens in the civic sphere, and what are the best ways of engaging with others?

Join us for a day of panels, interviews, presentations, and Q&A sessions with Stoic scholars and expert practitioners from around the world.

The registration page shows a cost of 0, but you need to change it to at least 1 (dollar) or more to complete your sign up. (please consider donating!)
