Mid-Year Celebration: Picnic in the Park

Originally scheduled for Saturday, June 14th, we’ve made the decision to postpone our Mid-Year Celebration due to the forecast of gloomy and wet weather. But more importantly, we wanted to be mindful of the current political climate and create space for things that matter beyond our own community.

As an immigrant to this country and former Los Angeles resident, I (Anh) have been deeply affected by the recent events unfolding in the Twin Cities, Los Angeles, and across the nation.

It didn’t feel right to celebrate while so many families are being torn apart and communities are hurting. Coincidentally, the nationwide No-Kings March is also taking place on June 14th — the same day as our originally planned picnic. We didn’t want anyone to feel they had to choose between celebrating with friends and standing up for justice in a peaceful, powerful way. So we’ve pivoted our celebration to a new date: Saturday, July 12th — and we’ll use it as an opportunity to kick off the Summer 2025 season together with new players and longtime community members alike.

Thank you for your understanding, your flexibility, and your continued support. We can’t wait to celebrate with you — just a little later than planned.

Instead of hosting an end-of-season party after every season, we’re switching things up! Going forward, we’ll be celebrating with a mid-year event and an end-of-year gathering.

Join us for our first mid-year celebration with Minnesota Dodgeball.
We’d love for you to join us for food, drinks, party games, and a chance to connect outside of the usual bar scene. We’ll also be sharing updates about Summer 2025 and what’s ahead!
