Pedal Paddle Pause is a Women in the Wild favorite:
Choose to bike, kayak, paddle board, hike, or just Pause on this beautiful weekend away.
We will be staying 200 yards from gorgeous Tetonka Lake with miles of paddling options.
Discover outdoor adventure in and around Waterville, where peaceful lakes, wooded trails, and rolling countryside create the perfect setting for a day outside. Whether you prefer to explore on two wheels, on foot, or from the water, the area offers something for every pace of adventure.
Outdoor Options:
🚴 Bike or Walk
• Ride the scenic Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail — a smooth, 40-mile paved trail through forests, prairie, and farmland.
• Enjoy quiet paths and wildlife viewing at Sakatah Lake State Park.
🥾 Hike
• Wander the shaded woodland trails inside Sakatah Lake State Park.
• Explore rolling countryside and peaceful lakeshore views around Upper Sakatah Lake.
🛶 Kayak or Canoe
• Paddle the calm waters of Upper Sakatah Lake or nearby Lower Sakatah Lake.
• Drift along the gentle current of the Cannon River for a peaceful water trail experience.

Amenities include: Beds, Linens, an outdoor fire pit, fully supplied kitchen, and meeting spaces, garage for storing kayaks.

Lodge Fee $195 ($95 deposit due by March 31, $100 due April 11.) Open to first 15 to register
CAmping option would include $20 fee to Women in the Wild and
then make your own reservations at one of the following
Itinerary:
- Thursday evening:-get settled, fire pit roundup, board/card games, crafts, yoga option, movie option, make plans for next day. (Arrive after 4 p.m. dinner OYO)
- Friday- Pedal, Paddle, Hike, OR Pause . . .Write, Read, Craft, Shop. Groups will be heading off to chosen adventures and gathering back for fun evening activities. Morning and Afternoon yoga sessions
- Saturday- Repeat a favorite adventure or try something new. Evening:
- Morning and Afternoon yoga sessions
- Sunday Out by 10 a.m.
Bring your own kayak/bike.
Options besides peddling and paddling include: yoga, dining, hiking, museums, winery, etc
Sleeping arrangements:
Individual beds in shared rooms indoors; your own tent and sleeping situation outdoors.
Meals:
- All lunches will be OYO.
- Breakfasts, and Dinners will be prepped and shared as a group
By signing up as a member of Women in the Wild and/or attending this event, you and your guests or minors (if applicable) accept that hiking, kayaking/canoeing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, sailing, or other activities during this adventure can be a dangerous sport and fully assume all risks associated with such participation, including travel to and from the event. You agree to be responsible for your own safety and equipment; and realize that trails, waterway conditions, obstacles, and weather, are always changing. You and your successors agree to hold all Organizers and other Women in the Wild members harmless in the event of equipment loss or damage, injury or death.
