The Folk Project Open Stage

Details
Featured Act tbd
The Folk Project Open Stage is the place where a diverse collection of acoustic musicians perform for a welcoming, supportive and attentive audience. We're a listening room, not a noisy bar!
The Folk Project Open Stage is located at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship (http://muuf.org/) and is generally held on the 2nd Friday of each month, but please check The Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series (http://www.folkproject.org/minstrel/minstrel.shtml) for schedule changes.
Admission is $5.00 cover charge at the door and $5.00 for anyone under the age of twenty-one. Refreshments and fine baked goods are complimentary and available throughout the evening.
Free-will donations are encouraged.
Our New Format:
Each Open Stage begins with a 20 minute set performed by a featured act selected from a previous Open Stage.
The Open Stage is actually two stages run simultaneously. The Main Stage in the auditorium and the Terrace Room Cabaret, a smaller, more intimate space. This enables us to accommodate thirty performers.
All those wishing to perform at the Open Stage should begin arriving at 6:00 pm on the night of the show to sign up to play. Up to thirty performers will play three songs (15 minute maximum). The evening culminates with a spirited Jam Session and performers are encouraged to stay to the end of the night to support the other players.
In the past we've "discovered" new acts at our Open Stage who have then been offered a Featured Act at a future Open Stage and, in some cases, invited to be the Opening Act for the Troubadour Concert Series.
Hope to see you soon at the Open Stage!
