Tashi Delek Friends, Supporters, and Sangha,

Sunday, May 31st, is Saga Dawa Düchen - the anniversary of the birth, enlightenment, and parinirvana of the Lord Buddha Shakyamuni.
Saga Dawa Düchen (Tib. ས་ག་ཟླ་བ་དུས་ཆེན་, Wyl. sa ga zla ba dus chen), the "Festival of Vaishakha" is one of the four major Buddhist holidays. It occurs on the full moon (the 15th day) of the fourth Tibetan lunar month, which is called Saga Dawa in Tibetan. It celebrates Buddha Shakyamuni’s enlightenment, birth, and parinirvana. At the age of thirty-five Buddha attained enlightenment at Bodhgaya. This day also marks the anniversary of his parinirvana at Kushinagara.
On this most holy day, the effects of positive and negative actions multiply ten million times.

Join resident teacher Lhoppön Rechungpa Rinpoche and Mipham Shedra Sangha this Sunday morning from 9:30am to 12:30pm (Mountain Time). Rinpoche will give teachings and lead us as we perform Shakyamuni puja for the benefit of all sentient beings.

In-person attendees are invited to bring flowers or fruit for the shrine (potted flowers that can be replanted would be especially appreciated).
Please arrive a few minutes early to settle in and find your seat.

Distance students and others who can't attend in person are invited to join via Zoom. **If you would you like to attend vía Zoom please RSVP at info@miphamshedra.org**

Many Blessings,
Mipham Shedra
