Tashi Delek Mipham Shedra Community and Guhyagarbha Students-

We are delighted to announce that Lhoppön Rinpoche has graciously agreed to offer profound teachings on the Fundamental Mind: The Nyingma View of the Great Completeness (Nyu Sem Kor Sum) by Jamgön Mipham Gyatso, translated by Jeffrey Hopkins.

There will be four sessions this summer and these classes are open to all students. Rinpoche strongly encourages all of his current students not to miss this precious opportunity to continue their study and deepen their understanding of these teachings. The classes will be offered on Tuesdays, 6-8:30pm, on July 28, Aug 4, 11, and 18, 2026.

Rinpoche also wanted the students enrolled in the current Guhyagarbha Tantra classes to understand how important this class is for them specifically. Rinpoche was happy to hear back from everyone who responded (and almost everyone did respond), sharing their devotion and appreciation, and very appropriate to respect Dharma. Based on these statements of commitment, Rinpoche is now offering this 4 week class to improve and deepen our understanding.

Here is a direct message from Rinpoche:
“I want to emphasize the quotation regarding the fundamental nature of mind as the union of appearance and emptiness beyond expression, from Essence of Clear Light, page 273:
Although much can be said in this context, that will be explained elsewhere.

I feel this is very meaningful because the “elsewhere” appears to refer to Fundamental Mind (Nyu Sem Kor Sum), (translated by Jeffrey Hopkins)- the very text we are planning to study. I thought this connection may help the students understand why I strongly hope the current Guhyagarbha Tantra Sangha will continue into this next stage of study.”

This is a subtle and profound text requiring contemplation, dedication, and perseverance. Because these teachings require tremendous preparation and effort on Rinpoche’s part, he sincerely requests that students approach them with genuine commitment and heartfelt effort.

With deep gratitude and joyful anticipation, we look forward to continuing the study of these profound teachings under the compassionate guidance of our beloved resident teacher.

The suggested donation for these four classes is $60 for current Guhyagarbha students and members of Mipham Shedra, and $100 for non-members. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

Rinpoche is requesting that everyone attending this course please begin reciting the 100-syllable Vajrasattva mantra as much as possible before the start of the course.

Those who are new to Mipham Shedra or not a part of the Guhyagarbha Tantra course, Rinpoche is strongly suggesting you attend the Sunday Morning Meditation classes, to help grow your understanding and get familiar with the teachings on the Fundamental Mind.

Many Blessings,
Mipham Shedra
