Movie Club: It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
Details
Hi all! I swear I didn't do this on purpose, and I was even thinking I should skip some December dates because it's such a busy time. But this is the next movie on the list, at number 11!
This is one of my forever favorites, because I try so hard to hold the values in this movie in my own life: Helping others in your life as much as you can, while not letting bullies win OR change you. Sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail, but at least I keep trying.
Since I've been studying storytelling, I've learned how scenes work. First there's an inciting incident, then there's one or more progressive complications, escalating the conflict, then there's a crisis moment where the character has to make a decision, then we learn what that decision is, and then there's (usually) a resolution of some sort.
I'm excited to watch one of my all-time faves to see what I newly notice. Join me snuggled up in your own place & let's discuss!
