Details

Welcome to the 29th best album of all time, The Beatles' White Album. The photo for this event is from the 2009 re-release of this album, which marked 50 years since its original release. The original album cover was plain white, and listed simply the band's name. Fans dubbed the album "The White Album".

This one’s a wild ride and massive. Thirty songs, no real theme, and somehow both chaotic and beautiful. It jumps from lullabies to screeches, from protest songs to nonsense rhymes, from solo laments to full-band jam sessions. It’s messy. It’s weird. It’s kind of brilliant.

Released in 1968, right in the middle of global upheaval, this album captures a band unraveling and experimenting like mad along the way. You’ve got “Blackbird” and “While My Guitar Gently Weeps,” but also “Helter Skelter” and the infamous “Revolution 9,” which… well, we’ll talk about that.

I’m listening to it with fresh ears, just like many of you. I don’t know what we’ll discover together, but I suspect it’ll be something honest, raw, and maybe a little revealing.

Spend some time with this album and bring your favorite tracks, your WTF moments, your questions.

Hope to see you there!
Peace ❤️
