Classic Novels: War and Peace

We'll discuss War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy (#17 on our list). The epic historical novel, published in 1869, follows five families in Russia during the invasion by Napoleon. The Literature Network says it is "noted for its mastery of realistic detail and variety of psychological analysis." Barnes & Noble called it "the most famous – and perhaps greatest – novel of all time." Read more here.
