Classic Novels: Lonesome Dove

This one's a departure for us. In February, each person picked a favorite NOT on our classics list. The group voted on them and the top vote-getter was Lonesome Dove. This epic Western novel by Larry McMurtry was published in 1985 and won the Pulitzer Prize. It was also turned into a TV miniseries.

Wikipedia says, "The novel, set in the waning days of the Old West, centers on the relationships between several retired Texas Rangers and their adventures driving a cattle herd from Texas to Montana."
