Mission Ruck was founded to bring people together through outdoor fitness. We are exploring San Antonio, one hike at a time, and making friends along the way.

Don't know what rucking is? Simply put, it's hiking with a weighted backpack or vest. Regular rucking can be the cornerstone of your workout plan, helping build core and lower body strength and cardiovascular endurance. If you're not ready to ruck, leave the backpack behind and come hike with us - we're excited to meet you!

Our monthly Pearl / Brackenridge Park event is designed to be accessible to people of various abilities and an approachable introduction to rucking. If you'd like to add to the challenge, we recommend adding weight to your backpack or vest or join one of our faster pacers.

About the founder: Nate is an Army veteran and San Antonio resident who loves exploring the outdoor beauty of San Antonio. My goal is to host well organized, fun events for our members!
