ModelThis is going to be a fun and informative 2 week portrait shooting workshop and editing workshop .created to help you develop your skills and confidence and introduce concepts of general studio lighting.
If portrait and studio photography lighting is your passion and you want to upgrade your portrait and studio lighting skills
You will be substantially informed from this well paced 1.5 hour group workshop and we are limiting the workshop size to only 6 people to allow more time for questions and learning.
This hands-on two-week workshop is designed for photographers looking to build confidence in fashion, portrait, and beauty photography, followed by an in-depth retouching masterclass.
Whether you're just starting or want to refine your skills, this course will help you improve your lighting, composition, posing, and post-production techniques. Week 1: Shooting three distinct styles—fashion, portrait, and beauty photography. Week 2: Retouching and editing your best three images using Photoshop.

## About the event
Our pay what you can events are designed to reduce the existing financial participation barriers and allow everyone in the community to enjoy photography. We have partnered with Exhibition Place Park for this series of fun and very unique workshops. We have been serving the arts community since 2011 and we are very aware of the financial limitations of some of our 9000 members. If you can pay more to help support us please do, if you you cant please give what you can and if the fee is not feasible for you please email Phil Sutherland at [phil@wtpg.ngo](mailto:phil@wtpg.ngo) and he can help assist if you can not afford to purchase a ticket at all.

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming Outdoor location Lighting Workshop at the world famous CNE Bandshell stage that has hosted legendary performances by Louis Armstrong ,Glen Campbell, Blondie, Bob Hope,Quincy Jones, The Monowhales, Big Wreck, Frankie Avalon, Susan Aglukark, The Beach Boys and hundreds of more performers over the last 90 years. The CNE Bandstand design is inspired by theHollywood Bowl, the Art Deco-styled shell was built in 1936 according to designs prepared by the Toronto architectural firm of Craig and Madill.
Workshop Details: With the talented model Julia we will create beautiful images of a Dancer in Motion and use some really cool gear from Elinchrom to light the stage during the shoot. Join us for this exciting opportunity to explore studio lighting setups on location and a world famous venue and create dramatic images to enhance your photography portfolio while learning some cool techniques.
Workshop Details: Do you aspire to learn the secrets of beautiful and creative lighting techniques? We are dedicated to lighting and sharing our photographic knowledge with you. Our fun group lighting workshop with professional instructors is designed to cater to your interests as an artist and creator of any skill level in a fun and engaging community arts workshop. Throughout the workshop, we will discuss the specific lighting setups for each scenario, explaining the choice of modifiers and angles to effectively illuminate the subject and accessories and individually all get a chance to get hands on time with the Elinchrom gear and shoot the model.
Instructor: Phil Sutherland - Elinchrom Brand Ambassador
Assistant: Reanna Niceforo
Model: The exceptionally talented Julia Walton. Her remarkable dance skills will contribute to creating stunning images during the workshop.
As an indigenous-run, not-for-profit arts group, we are dedicated to serving the whole artistic community and advocating for the photographic arts. At our core, we believe in sharing knowledge and the joy of photography with the community. We strive to make art accessible to everyone and work hard to bring arts programming to the community. We can not wait to spend some quality time creating art with you!
Workshop Details:- Workshop Fee: Pay what you can (if this was a usual paid event in Toronto it would be $85-325 per participant we set the min at $5) We are opening up the price as pay what you can in an effort to ensure everyone who wants to attend can. - Camera/Lenses of choice (DSLR, medium format, or mirrorless)
- Fully charged battery
- Freshly formatted memory card(s)

So that you know, tripods or camera supports are recommended for this workshop but are not necessary to participate.
Triggers: We provide wireless triggers for most mainstream camera types. Our trigger works with any standard camera hot shoe
Model Release: A West Toronto Photography Group model release form, will be provided to each participant for non-commercial use and training purposes. The model will sign these forms, and printed copies will be provided to each photographer.
Cancellation Policy: Refunds will be issued within 72 hours if we, as organizers, have to postpone or cancel the event. We understand that sometimes circumstances prevent attendance at a workshop. If you cannot attend, please get in touch with us as soon as possible, and we will help you resell your workshop spot to the group. We will reimburse you for the ticket price if we can resell the ticket. However, if we cannot resell the spot, you may transfer it to someone else to attend in your place, but unfortunately, no refund will be provided.

Workshop Details: This is an amazing opportunity to light and shoot an talented art nude model in a wonderfully styled studio with some beautiful 3,4 and 5 light set ups with Elinchrom modifiers . We will be creating 3x lighting set ups and creating some great art nude images using modifiers to soften and shape the light .
