Emergency Grape Harvest

Many of you are acquainted with Ten Spoon Winery. Thanks to the generosity of Connie Poten and Andy Spoonseller, they have opened their winery for our winter solstice celebration for many years. This has always been one of our highlights, well-attended with lots of delicious food, good wine, and a roaring bonfire!

Linda and I have assisted Connie and Andy harvest their grapes for many years. It is a fun event, fresh air, cutting grapes, chatting with neighbors and eating pizza and drinking wine provided. The recent hot weather has precipitated a call for an emergency harvest before yellowjackets eat them all!

So please consider stopping by for an hour, half a day, or all day as time and body permit. I presume if you are working at lunch time some food will be provided, but being a short notice event, I won't guarantee it! But I know they will appreciate any help!

Please bring your own scissors or pruning shears, and gloves if you want to keep grape juice from staining your fingers!
Also, the harvest will take place on both Thursday the 25th and Friday the 26th.

No need to RSVP, just show up! But if you do RSVP on Meetup, other members will know to look out for you.
