We all have passions and ideas and those things are amazing. Sometimes they are brought to life by keeping them to ourselves and sometimes they are brought to life by sharing them with others. This is a time for sharing. Sharing ideas and food and having a beer or two(Thanks Montana Code School!!) This time around we are meeting at "The Livingroom" of Goodworks Ventures downtown Missoula.

Do you like good food?
Do you have something you could talk passionately about for 5 minutes?

We think the Ignite talk format lends itself not only for practicing businessmen and women asking for a raise at a employee review meeting, a standup comedian that wants to test out his new material, but also to the introverts in our community to that might not have a voice for their ideas on civil engineering projects. We welcome and support the stranger to learn by doing. Our goal is to encourage confidence in our fellow man/woman.

"The Pivot" - Our first themed event

Based on user feedback, we enjoyed trying the stricter guidelines on talks last time and we are keeping all talks to a 5 minute limit, each talk will have 20 slides attached and the slides will advance every 15 seconds. Your slides need to be submitted by February 16th so that they can be conglomerated into one presentation to minimize switching time :D

Does anything about the words "the pivot" bring you to a story, a time in your life, something coming up, basketball? Anything goes, but try to link it to the theme!

Does this format scare you a bit? Don't worry we are scared too. Feel free to reach out to the community for practice or help.
