August Meetup: Hogwarts & Lambda: Magic without Servers

Learn how AWS Lambda can quickly bring your ideas to life without a full server stack. This presentation will show you the basics of Lambda, DynamoDB and Slack integrations culminating in a custom Hogwarts House Cup App!
Kegan Rabil: Data Scientist, Resident Tinkerer and Headmaster of LumenAd will take us on a tour.
We will be testing this setup with the Missoula Tech Slack channel. Come on down, get assigned to your house and start giving/taking away points from your favorites in the Missoula community.

Prerequisites:
Some knowledge of Python/Javascript is helpful, but not necessary.
Familiarity with JSON is also good, but it’s pretty easy to read even if you’ve never seen it before.
6:00 pm - Socialize with new and old friends, consume complimentary beer, LaCroix and/or pizza
6:30 pm - Kegan will start his talk
7:30-8(ish) pm - Wrap up/questions/more socializing/spell casting
